Jack Springs Road Closure Scheduled for September 14

Atmore, Ala.– (Sept. 11, 2026) – The Poarch Creek Indians are advising motorists of a temporary full closure of Jack Springs Road on Monday, September 14, as work continues on the Jack Springs Road improvement project.

ROAD CLOSURE DETAILS

When: Monday, September 14, beginning at 4 a.m.
Where: Jack Springs Road, just north of Dollar General
Expected Duration: All day, with work anticipated to be completed within one day, barring unforeseen utility conflicts or construction delays.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured from Jack Springs Road along Ewing Drive, Green Road and Parades Road before returning to Jack Springs Road. This route differs from previous detours and is designed to improve traffic flow and safety by keeping vehicles farther from the active work zone.

Additional law enforcement support from the Poarch Creek Indians Police and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office will be present at the work site and along the detour to help maintain safe travel conditions.  Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, follow posted detour signs and use caution when traveling through the area.
