Road Construction Updates

Jack Springs Road improvements begin August 4, 2026.

Phase 1 of the four-phase Jack Springs Road Improvement Coalition project is scheduled to take place from August 2026 through April 2027. The project will improve local roadways, including safety and drainage. Please use caution and prepare for delays while traveling through the area.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: JACK SPRINGS ROAD

Drivers traveling along Jack Springs Road in Atmore, north of I-65, should be aware of ongoing daily construction activity in the area. Motorists should use caution, obey all posted speed limits, and watch for construction workers and equipment in or near the roadway. Please allow additional travel time and plan your route accordingly.

A month-long road closure with a detour at Poarch Road is also planned for a future date. Additional information, including the specific dates, will be shared as they become available. Please slow down, stay alert, and help keep our road crews safe.
