The 2025 Alabama PALS Governor’s Awards

Atmore, AL The 2025 Alabama PALS (People Against A Littered State) Governor’s Awards winners were announced and recognized at the Alabama PALS Governor’s Awards Program on November 12, at Wynlakes Country Club in Montgomery. The annual awards luncheon, which is sponsored by Alabama PALS, recognizes groups, cities, counties, and individuals that demonstrate outstanding commitment in the areas of litter control, recycling, local and statewide cleanup effort, environmental education, and volunteerism. 

In addition to the annual Governor’s Awards categories, PALS recognized and presented scholarship funds to the State Winners of the 2024-25 Alabama Clean Campus Program statewide competition. The Clean Campus Program focuses on implementing litter education and recycling programs in Alabama schools. 

PALS Sustaining Corporate Sponsors were also recognized for their stewardship and commitment to PALS during the awards program. These sponsors include ALFA, Coca-Cola UNITED, Vulcan Materials Company, Alabama Farmer’s Cooperative, and The Poarch Creek Indians. PALS also partners with ADCNR, ALDOT, the Association of County Commissions of Alabama, Alabama Community College System, ADECA, and the Alabama Broadcasters Association on the statewide anti-litter initiatives.
