How is assisted living different from a nursing home?

Our assisted living community is different from a nursing home because we don’t offer complex medical services or provide one on one care. Our facility was designed to provide a more home-like atmosphere with apartment style living.

Is there a lot of paperwork to complete?

You will have to complete an initial 2 page assessment and your physician will complete a health assessment. The Assisted Living staff will schedule a care plan meeting. At that meeting, a care plan will be developed to determine the level of assistance needed and pertinent resident information will be discussed at that time. A few more forms will be explained and discussed at that time.
