Recycling Teen Video Challenge

Create with purpose and inspire action.

The PCI Recycling Teen Video Challenge invites Tribal youth to create a short video that highlights how recycling works and why it matters. Participants will explore the PCI Recycling Center, show what can be recycled, and share the impact that recycling has on the community. Top entries will be awarded $700 for first place, $500 for second, and $300 for third.
Submissions open June 17, 2026, with entries accepted through July 20, followed by community voting from July 22-29 to help determine the winners. Start planning your video today!

Competition details

Tribal youth ages 13–18 are invited to participate as part of a team of two or more. Work together to plan, film, and produce a short video that captures how recycling works and why it matters to your community. All participants must have a completed parental consent form and media release before submitting. Submissions that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted.

Requirements:

  • Tribal Citizen, First Generation Descendant, Second Generation Descendant, children of Tribal Employees and Tribal Household ages 13 – 18
  • Must be a Team of 2 or more participants
  • Video must be at least 1 minute long
  • Must include the PCI Recycling Center
  • Explain why recycling is important to the community
  • Show accepted recyclable materials and recycling collection points
  • Parental consent form and media release with submission

Participants may film at the PCI Recycling Center during scheduled dates. Filming times must be reserved in advance, and space is limited.

Video submissions will be accepted from June 17 through July 20, 2026. After the submission period closes, videos will be posted for community voting.
