“Camp Smile was started in the early 1960s. This past year we did four weeks of overnight camp with about 180 clients each week. That computes to 180 counselors, because the camper to counselor ratio is one-to-one. The funds from Poarch make it possible for us to reach more children. With the big heart they have, they really help a lot of people.”

UCP of Mobile is dedicated to advancing the independence of people with disabilities. The organization offers a wide range of services for people of all ages, starting with an early intervention program and continuing through adulthood with a supported employment program. UCP educates, advocates and provides support services to ensure a life without limits for people with a spectrum of disabilities.
