Students of Poarch culture, two brothers find meaning as they connect with their roots— learning Mvskoke (the Creek language), beading, and traditional dance performed at pow wows and annual Native American ceremonies. They have a passion for “Fancy Dance”— a showstopper that draws crowds with its colorful regalia of feathers, twirlers and arm bustles. The meditative moves of this dance are set here to the music of Medicine Tail, a Poarch-based drum circle.
