2017-2018 Elder Princess: Beatrice Presley

Beatrice is the 62 year old daughter of Rena Presley & William H. Presley. She was raised and currently resides in Atmore, AL. She has 3 children: Rebecca Presley, Leslie Presley, and Charles Whitehair. She has 4 grandchildren: Lukas, Levi, Lance and Willie B., and 1 great-grandchild: Astrid.

Beatrice attends Friendly Holiness Church. Her favorite childhood memory is of being loved by her mom and dad. Her favorite hobbies and activities include: walking and dancing. Her favorite foods include: anything.

2017-2018 Elder 1st Alternate: Norah Lee Franklin

Norah is the 70 year old daughter of Juanita Anderson & John Lee McGhee. She was raised and currently resides in Pensacola, FL. She has 2 children: Sonja Threadgill and Shannon Jordan. She has 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Norah’s favorite childhood memory is of her daddy making her Potato Soup when she was sick. Norah’s favorite hobbies and activities include: Porcelain Doll Making, Sewing and Bowling. Her favorite foods include: Steak, Baked Potatoes, and Fresh Vegetables.

Ms. Norah is currently employed at the PCI Museum Gift Shop which she really enjoys. She likes meeting new Tribal Members from different places.

2017-2018 Senior Princess: Gabriella Treacy McGhee

Gabriella is the 17 year old daughter of Charlotte & Stephen McGhee of Atmore, AL. She is the granddaughter of Eldnar & Shirley Von McGhee.

Her favorite subjects include: English and Science. She attends Atmore Apostolic Church. She previously cheered at EA, and was also previously a member of the Pow Wow Club, Boys & Girls Club, Tribal Youth Council, and the Summer Intern Program. Gabriella’s favorite hobbies and activities include: Cosmetology, Softball, being with her family, and spending time with her little cousins. Her favorite foods include: Her Granny’s Dumplings, Fried Chicken, and Tacos.

Gabby has participated in the NAYO Softball Tournament for 8 years, EA softball for 3 years, and the Poarch Softball League since she was a little girl. She is currently participating in the Co-Op Program, serving as Senior Class President, Senior SGA Class Representative, and she also won the 2017 Pepsi Football Toss for a $500 Scholarship. She served as the 2010/2011 PCI Elementary Princess, 2013/2014 PCI Junior First Alternate, 2014/2015 PCI Junior Princess, and as the 2015/2016 EA Homecoming Main. Next Fall, Gabrielle hopes to attend the University of Alabama to study Pediatric Oncology.

2017-2018 Junior Princess: Audrey Hope Tucker

Hope is the 15 year old daughter of Thresa & Waylon Tucker of Atmore, AL. She is the granddaughter of Lillie Bell & Autry Lee Tucker, Jean & Ray Snodgrass, and Dartha & James Turner.

Her favorite subjects include: History, Reading, Science, and P.E. She attends First Assembly of Atmore, and is a member of the Poarch Creek Powwow Club, the Poarch Creek Tribal Youth Council, PCI 4-H Club, Poarch Creek Boys & Girls Club, and the J.U. Blacksher Softball Team. Hope’s favorite hobbies and activities include: Swimming, Dancing, 4-H, and Playing Softball & Stickball. Her favorite foods include: Pizza, Tacos, and Watermelon.

Hope has 2 siblings: Jereme and Paisley. Hope was also excited to be able to participate in the Poarch “Journey” Commercial.

2017-2018 Elementary Princess: Tehya Anevay Rolin

Tehya is the 9 year old daughter of Stephanie & Shawn Rolin of Poarch, AL. She is the granddaughter of the late Bessie Rolin, the late Eugene “Buster” Rolin, Margaret Hancken, and Sandra & Donny Nelson.

Her favorite subjects include: Math and Science.

She attends Poarch Community Church, and is a member of the Poarch Creek Powwow Club, PCI 4-H Club, Poarch Creek Boys & Girls Club, and she participates in PCI Softball & YMCA Soccer. Tehya’s favorite hobbies and activities include: crafting with her granny, pottery, swimming, traveling to PowWows, and Fancy Shawl Dancing. Her favorite foods include: Rice & Tomato Gravy, and anything her daddy cooks.

Tehya was the 1st Alternate in the 2014/2015 Poarch Creek Little Miss Contest, and served as the 2015/2016 Poarch Creek Indian Little Miss Princess.

2017-2018 Elementary 1st Alternate: Savannah Lyn Gibson

Savannah is the 8 year old daughter of Janel & Shane Gibson of Atmore, AL. She is the granddaughter of Alice & the late Edward “Blackfoot” Gibson, Dianne & Larry Evanson.

Her favorite subjects include: Science, Reading and Math.

She enjoys sewing in the Quilting Club, and following the Pow Wow Club where she has danced Jingle, Fancy and Southern Styles. Savannah’s favorite hobbies and activities include: powwow dancing, swimming, sewing patchwork, reading, beadwork, and making baskets. Her favorite foods include: Mac & Cheese, Chicken, Dumplings, and Steak.

Savannah was the first Poarch Creek Little Miss Princess in 2014/2015. Savannah has 3 brothers: Cory, Ethan and Hunter.

2017-2018 Little Miss Princess: Yanasa Tasahce Alvarez

Yanasa is the 5 year old daughter of Amber & Alex Alvarez of Flomaton, AL. She is the granddaughter of Jackie & Shelby Smith, & Mary McElvian.

Her favorite subjects include Art and Reading.

She attends Tvlahase Wwkokaye Ceremonial Grounds, and is enrolled in the Poarch Creek Boys & Girls Club. Yanasa’s favorite hobbies and activities include playing soccer, playing on the playground, fishing and playing with her friends. Her favorite foods include: Fish, Watermelon, Macaroni & Cheese, Chicken and Shrimp.

Yanasa is named in honor of her 3rd Great Grandmother, Martha Buffalo, and is a matrilineal descendant of the Wind Clan. She is also a direct descendant of the last Mekko, William McGillvary, of the Hickory Ground Tribal Town before removal.

She would love to go to Disney World ASAP!

2017-2018 Little Miss 1st Alternate: Mylynn Alyssa Sybil Smedley

Mylynn is the 6 year old daughter of Jami & Aaron Smedley of Atmore, AL. She is the granddaughter of the late Sybil McGhee, Charles Smedley, and Tammie & James Andrews.

Her favorite subjects are P.E. and Reading.

She attends New Home Church and is enrolled in the Poarch Creek Boys & Girls Club.

Mylinn’s favorite hobbies and activities include: riding her bike, arts & crafts, and swimming at her Uncle Nick’s pool. Her favorite foods include: Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, and Cabbage.

Mylynn loves learning about her culture and heritage.
