Physical Therapy (PT) works with patients who have had an accident, sports injury, or other physical disability due to acute incidents or chronic disease. It helps expand, restore and maintain motion. Physical Therapy diagnoses and treats individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions, illnesses, or injuries that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities as well as they would like in their daily lives. Some benefits to physical therapy include improving motion and mobility, avoiding surgery and prescription drugs, and recovery following surgery.
