Amy Bryan Gantt

Amy Bryan Gantt currently serves as Treasurer for the Poarch Creek Indians Tribal Council. A lifelong member of the Poarch community, Amy has held multiple roles within the Tribal Government and in business, demonstrating her long-standing commitment to her Tribe and its members.

Amy was elected to her role as Tribal Council Treasurer in August 2019 and is ultimately responsible for the oversight of the Tribe’s financial affairs. In her capacity as Treasurer, Amy works hard to maintain fiscal integrity and strength while ensuring financial record keeping aligns with policies established by the Poarch Creek Indians Tribal Council. Equally important, she works closely with executives, directors, and employees of the Tribe to oversee budgets and financial reporting, always focused on procedure and policy improvement. Amy currently serves on the Tribe’s Budget, Finance & Labor Committee, Government Affairs & Rules Committee, Land & Natural Resources Committee, and as a member of the Ecke Board of Directors.

Before joining the Council as Tribal Treasurer, Amy was Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Marketing at Wind Creek Hospitality, the Tribe’s principal gaming and hospitality entity. She streamlined communications related to corporate marketing, serving as the liaison to senior management teams. Her work helped facilitate the execution of strategic programming initiatives and external relations efforts.

Amy has also served her Tribe in many capacities throughout her career including serving as an At-Large Tribal Council Member, the Secretary of the PCI Gaming Board of Directors, Special Assistant to the Tribal Chairman, and Recording Secretary to the Tribal Council.

Earlier in her career, Amy was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Community Recovery Services, a small, disadvantaged, woman-owned, HUBZone-certified 8(a) business that provided multi-million dollar construction and infrastructure services, primarily to federal government clients. She built a reputation as a business owner who provided work opportunities for her Tribal community, and 90% of the company’s employees were either Tribal Members or others who supported Tribal Member households. Amy also oversaw the company’s finances, accounting processes, bidding strategies, contract negotiations, and project budgets, equipping her with well-rounded financial expertise that she leverages in her current role as Tribal Treasurer.

Amy is married and a proud parent of six children and grandmother to six grandchildren. She works hard to instill Tribal values into her family’s daily life, passing along life lessons and Tribal traditions.
