Risk Management

The mission of Risk Management is to ensure that significant risks are identified and that appropriate action is taken to manage these risks to the extent reasonably achievable.

Risk Management also seeks to protect Tribal assets through prevention by quantifying potential losses in investments and providing alternative action (or inaction) to meet investment objectives and risk tolerance.

The role of Risk Management in Tribal Government is to create a comprehensive approach to identify, analyze, assess, control, avoid, minimize, or eliminate the portfolio of risks impacting the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Risk Management uses various strategies for the proper management of future events by developing policies, procedures, reporting and accountability, and enabling technology.
