The mission of the Legal Department is to protect all Tribal assets, defend the integrity of the Tribe and its sovereignty, and assist and advise all Tribal entities in their pursuit of progress on behalf of Tribal Members.
The Legal Department is responsible for providing legal services and representation to the Tribe, Tribal Council, Tribal Government, and all Tribal authorities, commissions, enterprises and other entities, and its areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, the following:

No individual legal services or counsel is provided. A Legal Services Program is administered by the Tribal Member Benefits Department and provides an annual reimbursement for certain costs associated with specific legal services. Lori Madison Stinson is the Attorney General for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.

The Legal Department provides assistance to the Tribal Gaming Commission, Tribal Regulatory Commission, Ethics Board, Election Board, and various other committees regarding their regulatory duties.

The Legal Department assists the Tribal Chair’s Office and the Tribal Council Office with drafting ordinances and resolutions, rules and regulations, contracts, and other legal documents. Legal staff assists departments, boards, and committees in drafting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures which govern specific Tribal operations and facilitates the approval process for each.
Erica Kemmer is an Assistant Attorney General for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
The Legal Department represents the Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority, its subsidiary businesses, the Utilities Authority, and all associated boards with negotiating business contracts, land acquisitions, and/or other ventures. In addition to those entities, the Department assists the Tribal Council and all entities.

The Legal Department represents PCI Gaming Authority, its management, its Board of Directors. PCIGA operates the Tribe’s three major gaming facilities. The Department also assists PCIGA with investment opportunities.
